Not reassuring, choose a different direction of aftercare.

It pains me to write this because I love the Elta MD but this product just doesn't impress. I have inflammatory rosacea and have to use a lot of different products on my skin. I'm also approaching thirty and have started wrinkle prevention. I've read that it can help relieve chemical peels or if you're taking too much retinol. Honestly, it hurts more than if I hadn't done anything. I used this after using alpha-beta peels too close together at home; I had some irritation around my…

Effective and odorless!

Works! My skin is very sensitive and I'm allergic to fragrances, so I'm very limited in what products I can use. I'm trying to trim my full goatee with a homemade laser device and have had surprisingly good results so far. But I definitely need a layer of cooling, protective gel before I go straight to bed, and rubbing my fresh laser face on the pillow can't be good. Once I wash my skin, I cool down with cold water and then apply this gel. It's fragrance-free, non-greasy and really works! No…

Can be cooling but not moisturizing

Bought to use after laser skin treatment. The texture is reminiscent of aloe vera gel and can be used immediately after the treatment for cooling. However, it does not moisturize and the fine texture tends to dry out quickly. A bit disappointing as I was looking for something to use as a moisturizer after laser hair removal.

Cooling Skin Care - Face

I had laser surgery on my face and ordered this ointment thinking it was the kind of ointment I should have gotten. It's more like an aloe vera type gel. I kept it anyway because it helps cool my face the first day after the procedure. It doesn't keep it super hydrated like an ointment so I have to use both.

Pros
  • Not cheap but decent
Cons
  • Nothing
