It's a great mulch for plants.

Bought them with the intention of using them as a mulch for some plants, sounds crazy right? We have a small front yard that fights moss, not to mention other plants. so shade-loving plants are a must! The plan is to turn the patch over (6ft 10ft), lay it down and pin, then make some small slits so we can plant our selection. This gives the plants a lot more light by reflecting it back to the underside of whatever we plant there.

Good for what they are

I camp on a Florida beach and attach them (to keep them cooler) to the roof of my van with magnets when camping. I also attached them to the roof of my screen tent. The tape will damage the ends, but they're cheap. It would be cool (sorry) if there was a stronger version with reinforced edge bands or reinforced holes and it was cheap. I've found that they don't store well in their original packaging for long periods of time (in the Florida heat) as the reflective surface sticks to itself.

How were you able to pull off this deal?

Hey, that's four large mylar blankets for about a dollar each. How can you make this deal? Buy a pack and toss a few in the glove box, camping gear, and the like. I did a little research before purchasing. They are good quality and a good size. Being well over 6 feet tall and about 250 pounds, I wanted to make sure I was choosing an emergency blanket that was large enough for me. I will confess that I did not open/unroll the blankets because, to be perfectly clear, they are essentially…

very shiny and it works too - who would have thought it

these are very thin plates and they sound like crackling hard plastic. We tested the residual heat statement by placing it on an electric blanket and placing a blanket on top. so very little heat was transferred from the electric blanket to the blanket above, and the Mylar blanket itself was cool to the touch. So for the emergency thermal protection I would give them a full five stars but these comforters are not very big so an average sized man can't wrap himself completely in the comforter…

Camping & Hiking Mylar Blanket

Love love it. I used them on my bedroom windows and however it kept the Arizona room from getting hot during the day when it got really hot and the sun from shining directly into my room. I could still see outside, but no one could see into my room from outside. I also had to sleep in the desert when I went to the Grand Canyon in late March, so I decided to try on my car windows. Cut them to fit the windows of my HHR and was able to keep them in the car during the day without getting hot. I…

I have to admit I have a bit of an ignorance about the mylar emergency blanket - I bought it for my very first hike (and just for emergencies, lol). But I didn't know they were DISPOSABLE ONLY! One and done! Well, for those of you camping or in an emergency, PROS - go ahead, laugh at me. I feel a little stupid for not knowing! I don't think I'm alone in this though - so for those of you who think you can buy them and use them again and again I thought this information would be helpful to you…

A rescue blanket not limited to emergencies

I took the risk of choosing these blankets and moved on! As I was preparing my emergency kit for the next big earthquake that would devastate Southern California, I figured I had to have at least one on hand, so I figured I'd be happy with that - to my surprise, what came in the mail was better than me. Expected. The four packs of space blankets are self-explanatory — each is a 52” x 84” sheet of aluminum and "QuiteEZ”-branded Mylar that easily wraps around all but the largest of bodies, and if
