I replaced my thermostat with a smart thermostat - and this required the use of a 'common' connection to ensure uninterrupted power to the thermostat . Unfortunately, my water heater only had a 24VAC output to turn on/burn, and the thermostat didn't get power after it was connected. I have well water, filters and a water softener, it still leaves a ton of white residue and kills almost any type of evaporative based humidifier in 6 months. So I bought a humidifier and hooked it up to a reverse osmosis system. It worked great, except that the water pressure after the reverse osmosis system was not sufficient for the high level of atomization in this humidifier. So I hooked up a 24v auxiliary pump and…
