Description of ๐Ÿ  Enhance Your Aquatic Paradise with EmoursTM Sinkable Driftwood Fish Tank Decoration

Made of high grade driftwood, solid and durable, long lasting in underwater or arid environments. Authentic natural wood adds realistic beauty.Unique shapes that adds to the aesthetic value of the tank. Visual variety - no two pieces are alike. Size approx 6-inch in length. Each pieces are carefully selected, the pictures shown are only some of the driftwoods, what you get may be different from pictures show. Prolonged boiling recommended,boiling/soaking for 3-4 hours. You have to boil it for at least an 1 hour (maybe twice boiled and dump the tannin concentrated water midway both times). Afterwards, completely submerge the wood in a bucket with water, weighing it down with something i.e. a rock , heavy glass cup etc, until it doesn't float anymore when the weight is taken off. Your driftwood will quickly become the focal point of your aquarium decor. Nocturnal fish, ghost shrimp and smaller fish like a driftwood shelter for hiding.

Was hesitant to buy because of the reviews, but...

I didn't dare to buy because of the reviews, I took the risk. I ordered a medium size. It matches my specification of the Fluval V perfectly. What you see is NOT what you get. Pieces of driftwood come in a variety of shapes. I had a pleasant surprise because I was open minded.

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • Some errors

Not what I imagined, but not bad.

This driftwood does not "sink" YET and needs to be kept in the aquarium with some other decoration, it looks nice, don't get me wrong, BUT you can't call it "sinkable" when it even floats in the water . In the picture it looks like you will get two pieces, but you only get one.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • The list will be long.

Good size range - *lots* of tannins in there

This set is becoming a family joke - I've brewed one of the batches for a full 60 hours and as you can see from the picture the tannins are all still outstanding . My wife wants to know when I stop cooking firewood. I gave up and put them in a nano aquarium and the water turned brown like tea. It's not a *bad* thing, the tannins help soften my alkaline water, but it wasn't really what I was aiming for. Otherwise the pieces are root pieces with interesting shapes.

Pros
  • Great overall performance
Cons
  • Not everything fits

Medium sized piece about fish and aquatic animals

I boiled it for about 2 hours and left it in water for 3 days but it never changed color so I didn't recommend it 7 days before . put in an aquarium. Looks good, algae are already clinging to it, and this is usually the main place the shrimp have been so far. My tank has been up for 4 weeks now. The tree sinks to the bottom but floats when I start moving it. It seems that if you order a larger or x large piece they are very pretty but the small and medium ones are not that tasty. I still loveโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

I don't know what happened to the review I just wrote so here it is again. I read many reviews complaining about the size, the piece of driftwood I received was very good quality. Its size and number of spores were of good quality. In the photo 1 hour cooking. I don't know if I was lucky with that choice or not, I'm glad I made it. Update I cooked it 6 hours with salt than 6 hours with just water. After cooling, I put it in the tank, the wood almost did not sink. I helped the tree with threeโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

It really looks like a tree!

You need to cook it for at least 1 hour (you can boil it twice and pour out half the concentrated tannin water both times). After that, completely submerge the wood in a bucket of water and use something like a rock (I used a heavy glass beaker) to push it down until it stops floating when the weight is removed. My piece, I got a small one, was soaked up after about 6-7 days and completely submerged in my aquarium without turning yellow. I've had mine for about 3 weeks now. I have to say I amโ€ฆ

Pros
  • It's amazing
Cons
  • Sun-Sun

Not at all satisfied - fish and aquatic animals

Driftwood Bought in April. Delivered on 4/26. When I got it I followed the advice of some reviews and cooked it straight away (5 times) and then put it in a bucket of water to soak up any tannins that didn't come out during cooking. Needless to say that was 80 days ago and the water in my bucket is still turning brownish red and the driftwood is slimy from constantly being in stagnant water. The piece corresponds to the stated size, but is not very pretty to look at. I should have saved $26 and

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Expandable
