The idea if good won't be used. The metal ring that attaches to the phone or case doesn't stick at all. I even tried super glue and it still doesn't stick. I have written the company a letter but have not yet received a response from them.

My pop socket was too thick and the magnet didn't touch the metal ring (it was very close so it actually stuck) causing it to come loose. I had to use a different glue, thicker that allowed the metal ring to come into contact with the magnet. Support didn't help much with the issue, but I found a workaround myself.

If you have a popsocket on your phone I would recommend this mount for your car. It has a solid ventilation mount and the phone stays in place with very limited movement. The o-ring fits perfectly and your pop socket fits into the o-ring cutout. I've had it for a month now and it's great that I can put my phone straight into the mount without worrying about my phone getting pinched like other phone mounts.

Works great with my pop socket. Installing the metal circle on the phone was easy. The phone sits firmly in the holder and does not move. However, it holds mediocre to my vent and frequently comes off. It would be ideal if they attached it more securely to the vent. I'm sure I can screw it in slightly for better adhesion (rubber grip or glue) but haven't gotten to that yet.

I bought 3 of these, I'm clearly a sucker. The first worked fine for about 10 days, then the part holding the vent broke. I ordered a second one, blaming it on the warmth of AZ. The same story. I decided not to buy it again and bought another holder but this one was just awful. So I ordered #3 and it's different in the front than the first two. The part that should hold the vent is too short and just slides off. So I think the breakage problem is solved now, but the whole machine plus my phone…

I only use this mount when I travel and don't have a permanent mount like I have in my personal car. It has only been used on 5 sales trips since I bought it about 8 months ago and the plastic clip piece that goes into the vent before tightening snaps on the hinges. With the exception of those 5 rides, this unit is in my briefcase and hasn't been used at all so hasn't been abused or roughed up. I wish I could just buy the plastic parts so I could take the stylus out and replace it myself…
