It's actually opaque and slightly stretchy. Thin on the sides and almost see-through - not sure if they're waterproof. Don't intend to spill, so I can't say if it's waterproof. I wonder if this can prevent allergens from being so flimsy and stretchy. Also, it seems hot to sleep on since it's very similar to plastic. Let's hope he does his job. Check back with me in four months.

Comfortable, but it gets dirty best in mattress covers and covers

Pros and Cons Pros:1. Perfect even with an adjustable bed 2. Comfortable / doesn't feel like plastic 3. No annoying noise Cons: 1.) Gets dirty easily 2.) May not be as waterproof as advertised, I'll let you guys know later when I wash When it comes to bedding, I'll be able to take better account of the mattress itself. This is what I think I would buy but Walmart had this mattress protector for about $50 and it was amazing I wish I could remember the name I would recommend it instead.

Pros
  • There's something to it
Cons
  • Ordinaryness

Not at all as advertised

I bought 2 of these in Twin XL. The zipper on one of the pockets was broken. I noticed the cover rustle/crumple when I took it out of the box and I knew it would be noisy when we put it on the bed and slept on it. No thank you. I love Target's Allerease cases, which are surprisingly quiet, soft, and breathable (they don't make me sweat!), but Allerease doesn't sell a Twin XL. Based on Linenspa's description I was hoping that their product would be comparable to Allerease, but Linenspa is not…

but it definitely doesn't feel like fabric in general

Linenspa follows the "one size fits all" principle, which isn't necessarily useful here. The height of the cover does not stretch, so it is not suitable for a shorter mattress. This means a looser cover if your bed doesn't reach the maximum height setting. The fabric isn't exactly plasticky, but overall it definitely doesn't feel like fabric. Although I don't notice it with my sheets. I'm happy with the overall protective structure and I think it will serve my mattress well. Never buy a…

Linenspa vs Allerease - Allerease wins 1st impression rose!

The first impression upon opening the box is that the Linenspa doesn't look as good as the Allerease case. I really wanted the Allerease Twin XL but couldn't find it on the list so I chose the Linenspa because I needed it badly. Linenspa's zipper is less durable, but time will tell. I've only rated the other functions as average at the moment because I have no experience with them. I was able to install myself with a little problem and it seems handy enough. But again, my first impression is…

Ideal for sealing college mattresses and sanitary bases.

Easy installation. Good for College Twin XL mattress. Not very soft but then again my skin doesn't touch it. It also doesn't make any hoarse noises. I put memory foam in the cover, mattress topper, and sheet on top of the college mattress. The mattress topper gives me peace of mind that the mattress others have used has a zip and I start a new life on a hygienic basis. I'll probably take the cover off when I move out after term and throw it away, so I have no comment on washing it. By using…
