Type of review

Enermax Cyberbron ECB700EW masquerading as a 700W PSU. If you look closely at my overview photo or the wattage chart listed on the unit itself, you can see that the unit is supplying 54 amps at +12 volts. The industry standard is to measure the power rating of a PSU by multiplying these two numbers: 54A * 12V = 648W. However, Enermax marketers see no problem promoting this 700W device. Look again at my review photo and you'll see a competing product, the EVGA 700 GD, another product advertised…

Quiet, Stable in Computer and Accessories

I chose this power adapter based on the following factors: I was designing a system that could sit silently on my desk so as not to disturb Zoom calls and the like. My system draws about 375W at peak and 100W at idle. I never hear the PSU fan and am completely stable with a Gigabyte B550M Aorus Pro, Kingston Hyper-X memory (32GB), Sabrent Rocket 4 500GB, XFX RX 580 GTS and a few other drives configured in AMD StoreMI. I like the modular design so I can have a cleaner install.

Pros
  • Quick Change
Cons
  • Almost Never

High quality power supply

Intermax was a big well known brand in the 90's and 2000's and one of the leading manufacturers of power supplies in the whole country. They were right there with the power and cooling part, the Sea Sonic and the Cootermaster. This power supply screams high quality and keeps all voltage rails at a good level. Should last a very long time.

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Functionality

So the cables are flat

Flat cables make it easier to carry out the installation through the housing. The only downside is that some of the cables are a bit longer. It's also great that you don't have to open an account on the seller's website to set up a guarantee like the competition. If, God forbid, the power supply fails, then in good time (5 years). You contact the warranty department. and simply enclose a receipt with the date of purchase.

Pros
  • Sequins
Cons

This PSU offers

I have set up my farm for mining and am having power issues. I only bought this unit to power my motherboard which was really good, but I've since added 2 additional GPUs and it copes well with that too. For the money, this device was a great option.

Pros
  • Long range
Cons
  • Low maintainability
