🥶 Engel ENG25 High Performance Cooler - White: Coolness Delivered with Supreme Efficiency! Review

I took this cross on a monthly trip to all national parks. Lasts ice for a week and all our food and drinks stayed cold in the back of the car as we drove across the country! Amazing value, as good as the Yeti.

For your information. If you drink beer bottles, check the inner height before buying. I drink Miller Lite and it doesn't clear the bottles on the short end (the bottom tapers to the drain plug). It doesn't matter, but FYI. The rest of the bottles fit in easily.

The standout feature is the clasp which makes it easier to open and close unlike Yeti or similar products. . In fact, according to the official website, it is 21 liters. So the value evaporates compared to YTI 20 liters.

The cooler is well made and has a handy locking feature. However ice retention is not as good as stated, Engel says 8 days and the best I can have is about 3 1/2 days. We were away 3 weeks with temperatures in the mid to 60's and the cooler was kept in the shade. The cooler was used for canned and bottled drinks and was only opened 3-4 times a day. In my opinion, this is a very poor performance. I would not buy this cooler again and am looking at other brands right now!

This article was impressive. I just made my first trip from LA to Anza Borrego in an open top jeep. Put 20 pounds of ice in an empty fridge on Thursday morning. Looks solid all round but that's not the issue. Used the cooler for the first time yesterday with 7 pounds of dry ice wrapped twice on the bottom of the cooler (cooler approved for dry ice use). I drove away in my truck for the night and this morning my seat was cold and wet. The bottom of the radiator was also cold and damp. Small size because it had to fit in a few spots where an old (then broken) Coleman 28 would normally fit and it was a combo/step for the rear passengers. . I bought an Engel 25 and an updated RTIC 20. The interior is similar, except for the layout; While the Angel got wide, the RTIC went low (high), allowing it to chill large bottles if we wanted to. However, for a short fishing trip we provide food at RTIC and drinks at Engel. It was a mistake - it should have been the other way around…

There is no doubt that this product is of high quality. I have 3 (SH)etis and when I saw the angel accessories and thought of supporting a fisherman I thought angels would be cooler for me. Non-slip feet, the fact that they figured out people sit and stand on fridges and bait bowls, this company got it. I thought so until unpacking. Hoping for a cooler honeymoon where I watch carefully where to put it so it doesn't get dirty, carefully place it in my truck so it doesn't scratch the floor, etc…
