If you clean the surface real good, and apply with a heavy hand.it’ll stick and conform to just about anything. I used this on my Fishing kayak for a little extra traction on the footwell. Slapped a piece of leftover on my truck dash to keep my sunglasses and coffee mug from sliding around.

The adhesive quality and strength is the best I've ever used. Most grip decks peel off after a year. Not this one. I've been using this on my skim board for over a year now: Not even the slightest peel off of my board. I did add a thin layer of marine epoxy to the surface of my board to make the surface more slick before applying this traction pad. It totally worked. I purchased this because they didn't make a fitted bottom silent track for my kayak. This has made huge difference in the amount of sound that is going on in my yak. I placed a big portion under my seat to be able to just throw stuff under and it worked like a charm, another used was where my paddle crossed over my yak and made a loud noise each time I kicked or set it down, this has made good use in stopping that. I plan on also using it where my pulley system for my trolly anchor is.

We just had a fiberglass pool put in and although we love the pool the steps have no traction to speak of and were very slippery. I found this traction pad on Walmart and decide it was worth a try. Since the pool is fiberglass you can't drain the water so that was a concern. We crossed our fingers and cut the pad to size. Much to our surprise it adhered great! I bought this traction pad to allow my dog to be more comfortable in my kayak. I just installed it (it was easy to cut and stick in) and it worked very well for my dog! She no longer slips when trying to get in or out, and is much more comfortable with staying in the kayak. Since I just installed it I’m not sure how well it will stay stuck to the plastic surface, but it appears to be durable so far!

I was really looking forward to this product and did some research before purchasing. Much to my surprise and dismay, it did not stick well. I had cleaned the surfaces carefully, cut the material to shape and applied it. It stuck for about an hour and then started falling off. I have tried applying pressure overnight, but it still comes unstuck.

I cut out pieces of this material for installation on a vintage Boston Whaler in order to keep guests from slipping and falling on their butt. If your boat has slippery boarding surfaces, then this is a good solution. It’s pricey, though nothing compared to the cost of an injury on board. And, it almost matches the color of my vessel! This traction pad works great on my kayak! I removed the bungee and hooks to give my pup more room and great traction! Its easy to cut and has held tight to my kayak.

this stuff works well on flat surfaces and absolutely sucks on curved surfaces like a tubular ladder step. within one day, it's detaching from the adhesive and from the step. will need to find another solution.

This was very easy to cut and easy to put on. I wanted to add additional traction for my dog to ride on my board. I hope it lasts. I will update if it doesn’t.

Perfect for my ISUP. Adds another layer of protection from dog toenails. I can't go anywhere without multiple beasts, and every surface needs to be usable. The adhesive is holding firm after two uses and the dogs are thankful for nice non slip surfaces. Easy cut to fit.

Used this to provide a comfortable ant-slip surface on an old Sailfish sailboat. It was easy to trim to size, easy to peal, and seemed to stick really well to the surface. Worked great for my purposes.

Absolutely love this hydro-mat, we needed something with a little better traction for the swim deck on the back of our boat and this did the trick and then some! The blue color is vibrant and gorgeous, the 3M marine backing would stick to anything I think lol, and the bit of padding just feels nice standing or sitting. I’d definitely buy this again!

I put these on steps so our older pooch doesn't have to work so hard to grip the sometimes-slippery-wood.I cleaned the steps and applied an adhesive primer, then put the pieces on.They were easy to put in place and after several months are not popping up around the edges or showing any signs of wear.Great stuff.

I used this to make a homemade wake foil and it worked great. The adhesive hasn’t budged yet and worked all summer. Also the grip for your feet holds strong.

I installed this padding on an older windsurfing board which had lost its non-skid. The adhesive which came with the pad didn't stand up to high speed salt water immersion but I just used silicone caulk to reinstall and the padding works great - soft, light and excellent traction

Used this to help my elderly mother get into our pool. Read a review that you could use it on pools already filled, this is not true. Half of it came up and caused more of a tripping hazard. I do not recommend for pools that are filled.
