Description of 🎚️ Advanced Digital Decibel Meter Recorder by EnnoLogic

THE ENNOLOGIC DECIBEL METER provides accurate sound level (decibels or loudness) readings from 30 to 130 dB with Β±1.5 dB accuracy. It is the ideal tool to discover if something at your workplace or in your neighborhood is too loud, potentially causing hearing damage. Loudness is highly subjective and difficult to determine without proper equipment. Use this Type 2 decibel meter to get convincing data for any situation. AVOID OR RESOLVE DISPUTES WITH YOUR NEIGHBORS: Monitor and record noise levels in your neighborhood and outdoor traffic in your area. Check how loud your car audio is. Make sure your aftermarket exhaust is below the noise ordinance limits. Check the decibel level of leaf blowers, weed eaters, lawn mowers, and tractors. Know the actual sound level in decibels before talking to your neighbors. DETERMINE IF YOUR WORKPLACE IS SAFE: Do you need to prove to your coworkers that a noise source at your workplace is too loud and causes hearing damage? Monitor sound levels on a construction site? Now you can monitor and record sound levels of machines or equipment, or perform area noise monitoring anywhere. Unlike other meters, the ennoLogic eS528L can record noise levels for hours or days for later review and to provide supporting data. VERY USEFUL AT HOME: Balance the outputs of your home theater speakers, not easily done by ear. Sound proof doors and windows. Measure how quietly your air conditioning runs, or sound levels of home appliances. Or take this meter to a store to compare the noise level of appliances or air conditioners before purchasing. RELIABLE AND ROBUST DECIBEL METER: Measurement range 30-130 dBA, accurate to Β±1.5 dB. A and C frequency weighting. Fast and slow response. MAX reading display and ANALOG BAR GRAPH DISPLAY. Analog outputs (DC and AC). Large 1.5” LCD display with BACKLIGHT, easy to read even from a distance. Tripod mount (tripod not included). External power option. Auto power off with override option. Comes with 9V battery, Software CD (Windows only), USB cable and user manual. 10 YEAR WARRANTY.

GOOD FOR LIVE SOUND RECORDINGS.

CONS.1) FAST 9V BATTERY CONSUMPTION.2) WORKING WITH THE RECORDING PROGRAM IS SOMETHING COMPLEX PROS.1) ACCURATE RECORDING MANAGEMENT RESULTS.

Pros
  • DEFINE IF YOUR WORKPLACE IS SAFE: Do you need to prove to your colleagues that the noise source at your workplace is too loud and causing hearing damage? Control the noise level on the construction site? Now you can control and record machine or device sound levels or monitor noise anywhere. Unlike other meters, the ennoLogic eS528L can record noise levels for hours or days for later review and confirmation.
Cons
  • Some cons

The device itself made a very good impression as a decibel meter. I bought two different meters at the same time and both gave almost the same readings on several different sound settings. The problem I had was that I couldn't start the burning process. The software downloaded from both the included small hard drive and the website with no problems (I tried both downloads due to an issue I was having). After opening the software on my laptop. I couldn't get the software to connect to the…

Pros
  • VERY USEFUL AT HOME: Balance your home theater speaker outputs, which is not easy to do by ear. Doors and windows soundproofed. Measure how quiet your air conditioner is or the noise level of household appliances. Or take this meter to the store to compare the noise level of appliances or air conditioners before buying.

  • Almost never

Works as advertised

Cost and external features (remote sensing cable/USB graphics) were a deciding factor in this purchase. This meter was compared to a calibrated meter in the laboratory and showed the same sound levels. All switching functions work. The software has a nice simple reporting function. The service was very good and local (in Oregon). I had a connection problem and got an answer in the mail the next morning. The software is downloaded from their website and works. I don't expect any problems with it

Pros
  • Works great for me
Cons
  • No instructions

A software bug renders the device unusable

Updated to report that I found a software patch for the device on the EnnoLogic website. After downloading it I was able to write and run reports. So far only 4 stars because of ease of use. Disappointed that it was such a hassle to take full advantage of. I bought this device to record loud neighbors, but the device is unusable for my purposes due to faulty software. Can't speak to the accuracy of the noise level meter, but it seems to be picking up noise to confirm that the neighbors are…

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • When in doubt

Good unit. One big complaint, lots of good features

Buy a calibration kit. Just do it. And no, you won't find anything better for the same price (I've tried). I really like this thing, it's very accurate (by NIST calibration) and has around 15-16 hours of write time at the highest bitrate - more if you turn it down a bit. The display is easy to read, the buttons work well and are intuitive to use. The sound in the leaderboard comes from the SOFTWARE. The software is TERRIBLE, illogical and generally difficult to use. Apparently it was rushed to…

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model
