Envelope Style Trunk Cargo Escape Exterior Accessories Review

2/1/17 Updating my rating to a lower rating based on how my return was handled. The item was returned within the timeframe stated and I was charged for an item that did not match the advertisement. If I bought from a local retailer, there are no return fees. I could understand the charge if I changed my mind about the product, but he just didn't do what the seller advertised. Bought for a 2017 Ford Escape. Unsuitable; will not hold on to lifting hooks and snap out when stretched.

Fits Escape 2017 directly behind rear seat using existing top and bottom mounting points. Seems well made with the right amount of tension on the elastic cables. That's a long range, but not critical. I would have preferred to attach closer to the rear of the hold near the hatch, but there are no standard top hooks and I'd rather not try gluing or drilling. As per other reviews, excellent product, the problem here is the vehicle. My 2014 Ford Escape has 2 small U-shaped hooks on each side. The hooks are too short, which makes the luggage net pop out too easily. (I'm curious how the "official" Ford mesh fits for this reason.) So I pulled out my Gorilla Tape and wrapped it around the hook to hold the mesh. We'll see how well Gorilla Tape holds up in a few weeks. This is a different review. Rschunimagu.
