Do not buy! - Inkjet printer

I have a WF-2860. THIS SHIT! I print labels and they all look fine, then they tell me I need to change the ink. I use regular carbon paper and don't do anything special. I exchanged it 2 weeks ago. Even if I have to change the ink, it shouldn't just turn off my entire printer. I can't even print customer invoices. I am angry.

Pros
  • Pleasant
Cons
  • Not sure

there are only problems with this printer, only ink.

this printer only has problems, ink lasts for about 30-40 pages (documents, not photos) and does not stay connected to the computer. Every time the connection drops I have to reinstall the driver to reconnect. I spoke to support and they want me to download all the software onto the device, but when I did that my computer started running slowly. Now I'm trying to figure out how to get it back.

Pros
  • Finally bought
Cons
  • Contemporary

This is probably the loudest printer I've ever owned. .

Probably the loudest printer I've ever owned. The ink they "offer" for you to purchase with this printer is Epson 200 ink and this ink is NOT SUITABLE. Epson 202 or 202XL ink is suitable for this printer. The ink cartridge that comes with the kit contains enough ink to print approximately 30 pages. This printer is so new that Walmart doesn't have a cartridge on their shelves yet and they only have colors that don't come in a black box.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Never buy an Epson again.

This WF2860 was great. Went like clockwork. and one day the ink smeared. clean and clean and clean. nothing good. Bought an Epson WF 3640. Worked like clockwork again. and then. Motherboard failure. very sporadic misprint - complete STOP. (at the worst of times). I will never buy an Epson printer again. I bought HP 8715. Works like a charm. I have a 15 year old HP printer that survived 4 years of college. and still works. Epson. You just lost a bunch of customers

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Protection

New printer has clogged printheads.

The printer features seem great for home use, even for a small business, but so far I've tried to fix clogged or dry inkjet ports. I have completely used up the ink that came with the "Cleaning Head" printer. I used standard 3/4 size ink cartridges that I bought with the printer. I have not yet used "High Yield" ink cartridges. I just bought the "Magic Bullet" used by print specialists. I will clean the ports manually. If that doesn't work I will request a replacement kit and return this…

Pros
  • Easy to install
Cons
  • Has flaws

Check your wifi: Printer

I just got this printer and didn't see this info anywhere so thought I'd let everyone know and hopefully spare someone else my frustration. I spent an unreasonable amount of time setting this up on my home WiFi network. Most of my devices were made in the last few years and are compatible with 802.11n or AC in the 5GHz band, so it didn't occur to me at first that this new 802.11n printer model would only work in the WIFI 2.4 GHz band. After enabling this feature in my router, setup was easy…

Pros
  • Useful for more than it's intended purpose
Cons
  • Not bad
