Before use, follow the cleaning instructions with rice and baking soda! After that, the smell and the bottle are ready. I only use mine for water, for everything else, and the cap and bottle collect particles for mold to grow on. I love mine and have specific cleaners just for this item.

Beautiful bottle. It's attractive and appears to be good glass so far. It came, unboxed, and unpacked in an unlined, unlined, brown paper backpack-like packaging. It arrived intact but the white silicone was dirty from rubbing against the brown paper packaging. Came clean with soap and water but still not the type of packaging I would expect from a glass bottle.

Elegant bottle shape, comfortable to hold. I have one with a white base which is very pretty and one with black stripes which looks more edgy and grippy (I use them at the gym). Each one looks far more professional than a plastic water bottle in a meeting or on a table, and they remind people that they can be refilled and reused. (I started a little trend at my workplace.)
