Some reviewers said it has an LED backlight. they are .

Some reviewers said it has LED lighting. They're blind, they're obviously hot, and the front ring is crimped making it impossible to access the innards without destroying them. There was also some hair and dust BEHIND the plastic lens. it is also impossible to clean. Overall looks a lot cheaper in person. It works, but next time I'll spend a few bucks more and get something better.

Works well for Polaris Ranger 500 except the pointer does not light up.

The 2005 Polaris Ranger didn't have a tachometer and there wasn't much room for one. This touch is simply attached to the steering column. The cables could be routed through the existing rubber grommet on the dashboard. The hardest part was catching the wire for the inductive sensor. Removing the floor access cover helped. Make sure the cables are routed so that they do not touch the steering column, brake pedal lever or driveshaft. There is not much space in this car. I added a piece of wire…

works with any engine

This is the only Equus I've found that has an inductive sensor that pinches the spark plug wire. All little ones say they have one, but they don't have one! Equus informed me over the phone that their website and even the instructions that came with the total station are general, not specific to the item they are selling and they do not intend to make their website accurate.
