The product description states that they are suitable for chalkboards. You are not. I used mine on a new board and they won't come off (not with water, soap, glass cleaner, chlorox or any other cleaner I've used - see pic). Buyer Warning.

The markers are really bright and beautiful colors but I don't know if it was the back of the board I used or the markers but I have a tiny part on tested on the reusable backing. a school board I bought that left the residue. I didn't have time to order a new chalkboard so I just used the one I had and put it in a large photo frame and just wrote on the glass instead of the chalkboard, just wiped the glass and everything worked perfectly.

I followed the instructions to release the pressure when everyone was standing upright, then turned it over and pressed the tip to allow the ink to reach the writing tip. Worked great!
