Cheap and not worth it

Product description and contents are inaccurate. Wire pairs are not solid copper and are very thin. The product was delivered without mounting screws. I would stay away from this network cable.

Pros
  • Nice thing
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

The increased speed is suitable for computers and accessories

I used this at my shop with a powerline ethernet extender to use my laptop in a project. For testing, I had a short (5ft) Cat5e cable plugged into my laptop from a power strip and got very slow speeds, which didn't surprise me. When I used this Cat6 cable (100ft) I really thought I would not get any signal to the laptop. To my great surprise, the speed has tripled. I am very impressed.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Some issues

Braided instead of solid wire

The wire itself may be solid copper, but the wire itself is braided. I'm not a professional installer; However, I'm an engineer and have the right crimping tools to get the job done properly. After using the Klein Tools VDV226-110 crimping machine, I had consistently poor continuity. I can see from the reviews others have had luck, I've also seen others post solid wires so.

Pros
  • An absolute legend
Cons
  • So far so good

As advertised - Plus lots of different mounting hardware

I installed it as soon as it arrived. Connected the upstairs TV to my downstairs router. The new TV had Wi-Fi connectivity. However, there were occasional short buffering issues when streaming. Plugging the TV into the router eliminated the buffering and I'm pretty sure the picture is clearer. There are still many applications for wired transmission.

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Compatibility

It is best to get a medium-length Cat6 cable.

I bought this Cat6 cable for home ethernet wiring (I have both wired and wireless connections depending on what devices/signals I'm using). It was high quality, low cost per foot, easy to cut and crimp connectors for many of the passes I needed (50-75 feet per pass). Just note that the pre-installed RJ45s may be connected to plan "B" (commercial) and not plan "A" (residential). So for home networking applications you may have to cut them off and crimp them yourself (which I did). . It was a…

Already failed. in Computers and Accessories

I ran it through my attic between two back rooms. It is continuous and correctly assembled. Nowhere does it take a sharp bend or become stressed. With a continuity tester, 5 out of 8 conductors are no longer connected. I cut off the plugs and replaced them, but still nothing. Cut new connectors and test bare wires, still failed 5 out of 8. I unplugged the entire cable to find the problem. They broke in 3 different places, none of which have been stressed. There was also NO COPPER in this cable.

Pros
  • Easy to Use
Cons
  • Quick Guide

Works as advertised, nice color.

I have the 100ft brown version which matches the wood walls in my current home and it works as advertised. I didn't snap any loose ends running it through walls, which is always nice, and I've measured my speeds with Ookla servers - I went from (units in Mbps): Wi-Fi - 114.8 to down, 150.94 up, to cable - 375.51 down, 196.40 up. more in line with what I expect when using the connection I'm paying for, ie. Fiction. Does what it's supposed to, works better than my wifi. No complaints. And the…
