My search for the perfect IEM is over.

These are the best IEMs I have ever owned. Thank you Etymotic and the wonderful Clavinetjunkie YouTube channel for recommending this and many other great audio products I have purchased.

Pros
  • Absolute Legend
Cons
  • No Power

sounds like mine er3xr

Mine was used from an Amazon warehouse. said "headphone cover missing" but little did I know that meant headphone tips were completely missing. Good that I still have the tips from my er3xr. The rest sounds great. sounds amazing, like my ER3xr with 75 ohm impedance adapter. Maybe that's why they cost about the same.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes

Outstanding headphones - Earbud Headphones

The glasses are very comfortable. I had a lot of headphones tucking my ears between my glasses, especially when I was lying down. They seemed a bit odd at first as I've never had earbuds in this shape before, but after getting used to them I started to really prefer them. The sound quality is great, but if you're looking for heavy bass then this isn't for you.

Pros
  • beautiful thing
Cons
  • Almost everything included

Uncomfortable to wear -- for me

I can't comment on the sound quality or anything else because I was so distracted by the fit of these headphones. They are placed in the ears like earplugs. I could never find the right angle and they never got installed. I didn't realize they were inserted so deeply - and can't imagine wearing them ALL DAY. NO MICROPHONE either. I didn't realize this before purchasing - which is probably my fault - but felt it was important to highlight it here. I returned them immediately.

Pros
  • Regular price
Cons
  • Some minor issues

They sound very beautiful and detailed, they are excellent for listening at low and medium volumes. To my ears, these headphones outperform the HD650 when it comes to detail. At low volume, they can reproduce higher frequencies than even the HD800. Pretty cool performance! They're a little weaker than the bass though, so if you're listening to genres like electronica where the amount of bass is important, I'd prefer the ER2XR. The isolation is of course fantastic. The workmanship is good, I can

Awesome - Pure - Mp3 - Phone - Triple Flange Etymotic Tips

I have a lot of headphones and bought this headphone after reading many reviews and being curious how neutral headphones would sound! I have to admit, triple flange + deep insert = the only way to get the best Etymotic experience. Yossi Horikawa's "Bubbles" gives you the perfect soundstage you would get from open planar in-ear headphones at 50% volume on a mobile device. There are many reviewers who have used other third party tips which I feel do not justify the purity of the Etymotic's sound.

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • is embarrassing

Great headphones and they sound way more expensive than they cost.

They totally exceeded my expectations. I have had a pair of Etymotic ER6i's for many years and they have never let me down. I like the Etymotic headphones for their excellent noise isolation. They require deep insertion into the ear canal, but it's worth it. There are several types of ear tips for comfort, and you will find the best fit by experimenting. This is the SE version and if you want more bass choose the XR set. I have several Cowon DAPs and can fine-tune bass and bass to my liking…

  • Detachable cable makes replacement easy
Cons
  • Appearance

Great sound, great isolation.

I bought these to reduce AC noise near one of my rooms. I expected decent sound and decent noise isolation. My expectations were far exceeded. First, the isolation: when the music isn't playing I can still hear AC if I'm close enough. Once something starts playing, nothing. The downside is that you won't hear it if someone tries to talk to you, so use caution when using it on the street or anywhere situational awareness is required. Sound: absolutely outstanding. I really can't find any flaws…

Pros
  • Anodized Metal Headphones
Cons

Neutral. If you like the HD600 signature, you must try this!

I received my ER2SE about a month ago. Here I'm comparing them to my HD600 open-back over-ear headphones, as both are tuned to a diffuse field target. Also because the HD600 has a very large user base. Both sound very natural to me. ER2 is more realistic for some of the instruments I play. The HD600 is a bit bassier/darker and the vocals are only slightly recessed. So if you think HD600 is intimate, this IEM might surprise you. The ER2 sizzles a bit compared to the hd600, although it's…
