Easy entry from one side

I bought this motorcycle camping tent 3 years ago. It's small enough to carry on a motorcycle. Big enough for two. Easy entry at one end and an extended vestibule for wet gear. Or cooking with a small stove. Stable, spacious, excellently adjustable ventilation. Waterproof! I was just at a rally where we had strong gusts of wind and heavy rain. I was dry inside. As stable as possible in strong winds. I've spent a few nights on this thing. that's cool

But nice tent. in Camping & Hiking

This is a good tent with big improvements over the original Timberline tent (of which I had 2). But beware - the seams are advertised as factory taped which is a bit misleading. In fact, some seams are sealed and others are not. And some of these aren't in areas of the tent that aren't covered by rainflies, so sealing is required. The instructions that came with the tent say so, but the descriptions I read before purchasing didn't.

Timberline Sq Winner

Having an earlier Timberline model that was around 35 years old, I was skeptical of the 'new design'. After receiving this tent and setting it up for the first time I am very happy with it. The stands are sturdier and installation is just as easy, if not easier, than the old device. I like the included vestibule and an extra bar for the "back door". The skate clamp works well and gives you the extra headroom you need. I'm glad I chose the Sq.

Beautiful tent, quality materials and components

I grew up with the original Timberline tents at BSA and this is a logical progression from the original design. Some changes improved the old model, most notably the new design of the connecting tube, top cross brace and integrated vestibule, but the tent retained its simplicity, ease of use and aesthetics. Nice tent, quality materials and components; It's a great value for avid campers as well as moderate primitive adventurers.

The best tent ever!

This great tent is small and light when folded and slightly taller than comparable 4-person models. Maybe 10 inches bigger but it helps. There are a few features that seem unique to this tent: 1. Light loops on both ends of the tent. four storage pockets.3. Doors on both sides where you can turn each door into a lattice - for more fresh air. The whole family - two adults (5ft 10", 5ft 4"), two children (6ft 3", 5") and a medium sized dog slept in the tent with reasonable comfort during the…

Our Favorite Tent!: Outdoors

My friend and I have looked through several tents over the past few years and we spent months researching before deciding on this one. It's very quick and easy to set up! It fits perfectly in our large cot (Kamp-Rite Double Kwik-Cot) (although it fits snugly so you can't walk in). We've added an extra vestibule, storage space and gear floor and that really makes it an amazingly efficient tent! We haven't had to use the extra anteroom yet because we camp where the coldest temperature is 40°F and

  • Questionable purchase for seniors

My family have used the Original Timberline 4 man tent for decades and have been happy with its performance. It's time for a new tent so we bought this Eureka Timberline SQ 4XT 4 person tent. We have just returned from a hike and I am happy to report that this is a great tent. The SQ 4XT is well made, just like the original, but many improvements have been made. The addition of a tailgate with a full-screen window makes loading and unloading much easier. A loft conversion provides additional…

Solid tent as I remember it from the Scouting days

I used these tents a lot for Scouting years ago. They have certainly improved the tent over the years and I would highly recommend it. I use it for car camping (no more packing back) but wanted something simple and easy for one person to install that I knew I could get spares for and most importantly fit two caps! We use Byer Easy Cots, not military style cots, and they fit with little space between cots for you to slide between them. It's cozy, but it can be done and easily last a week. I am a

I have an emotional connection to this tent.

I waited to review this tent until I felt I had experience recommending it. I love this tent. I have great confidence in my Timberline tent and do not regret the purchase (it has more than paid for itself for my purposes). It survived a straight
