Works as expected. I bought a new Husqvarna Viking Jade 20 sewing machine that needs this needle for a few specialty stitches. I tried the stitches with a needle and they looked ok. Many Thanks.

Why haven't I tried something like this before? What can I say about her other than making the openwork hemstitch incredibly easy. Even my first attempt at mastering the technique was a success. I have already ordered another one in the same size for a future replacement and another one in a different size (120) for more decoration. It is absolutely beautiful on a 1750s French provincial apron.

I bought this to use on flannel to make a hemstitch that I can crochet. It works well for this purpose and I'm happy with the result. Instead of paying a lot every time I want to hand sew a blanket, rag, or bib with decorative crochet, I can do it myself with my home sewing machine. I set the desired value in the middle (most machines had multiple needle positions) and just used regular thread. I may experiment with more decorative stitching in the future, but I'm happy with how it worked for…
