Precision in Stitching: Euro-Notions Microtex Sharp Machine Needles-Size 12/80 5/Pkg Review

I bought these needles because they were recommended for quilting. However, I have an Innov-is machine with a Brother self-threader and the stitch hole is too small for a self-threader. The needle almost broke. Luckily I can see well enough to fill it by hand. I always use Schmetz needles in all my machines. They always work well, with one exception.

These are quality needles and fit perfectly on my Bernina 830 (1975 model!). They seem to last longer than other more versatile needles I've used which tend to develop burrs on the tip. I want them to sell them in different quantities. This pack is great to try, but once you use it, you'll want more. The only other size I noticed is about 200+ per pack. But for the price, it's worth it in the long run. Happy sewing.

I've used these needles before - I make wallets much like Vera Bradley needles - quilted and I find these needles are great for turning quilting. I have to apply up to 4 coats at a time in some areas of the purse and they do a great job. The only reason I needed them was because I had a silly moment and didn't change the sewing foot when I was doing the zig zag end of the zipper (I left the zipper foot and the stitch width was too wide so I ended up with 4 needles are broken). my own…
