Slightly thicker than a grocery bag. I carry books and other school things in it. So far none of the handles have broken.

I ordered these bags as a gift for an event. These bags hold a lot and are pretty sturdy. This is a simple brown bag with handles and I love that it's 100% recycled. I often use these bags for gift bags and put quite a bit in them. The handles stayed on the bag and none of them were torn. Of course, if you put too much in it, since the bag is made of paper, it will tear. All in all a very practical bag for gift bags.

I love the size of these bags. I ordered 12x5x14" bags which I measured and confirmed to be 14" tall. They are large and will fit in a large gift box or item. I was able to fit a large 4 inch three ring binder (with paper in it) and the bag held it without tearing. The folder was quite heavy and I don't intend to put heavier items in these gift bags to make them work. great for me In terms of price, I think these bags are very good in terms of quantity and quality.

I didn't notice that these bags with handles are arranged differently until this bag appeared. The paper is quite strong but the top edge of the bag doesn't fold like other bags I've had. The top edge is unfinished and represents the raw edge of the paper. I cut the top edge of this bag with paper because it is unfinished.
