I received the sheets and thought they were well done but they smelled awful. I've washed them 3 times and still couldn't get rid of the smell and definitely wasn't planning on sleeping with that smell. The smell was strong, the smell of gasoline.

Real linen bedding is affordable luxury: cool in summer and warm in winter. I highly recommend them. Sure, they wrinkle, but hey, cotton sheets wrinkle too. If you spend good money on bed sheets, buy linen, it will last a long time. Guaranteed!

Update: I've had the chance to wash these sheets many times and they definitely get softer with wash :) I love how these sheets absorb sweat ( night sweats due to breastfeeding). My skin no longer feels irritated. First Review: Washed before bed and so far my skin is very irritated from itchy wash. This is my first time sleeping on linen sheets so I have no comparison. I really hope they get softer with each subsequent wash. :/

I'm really impressed! This linen is very soft straight out of the box and even softer after the first wash. I used warm water instead of cold water (like other bedding) and had no problems. Dry wipe. The sheets appear to be well made (much better than I expected for the price). In fact, they're not wrinkle-free, but linen shouldn't be! We ordered other brands and had to wash them 4-5 times and sleep on them for a while before they were nearly as soft as these, straight out of the box! A quick wash and they were on our bed the same day! We chose light blue and it's very faint. Does not conflict in any way with our other beds. Of course they will wrinkle. it is underwear.
