I only use i5-8400, 1070 ti Duke Edition, one HDD and one SSD. This power supply would shut down my entire computer in the middle of games. The power cord that runs from the wall to the back of the PSU is not very reliable. I ended up buying a discounted 650W EVGA G3 modular power supply for the same price as this one ($50). I didn't have the same problem with the G3 and it's significantly better. It even comes with a carrying case, and for good reason. If the G3 is still on sale, it shouldn't…

It's garbage! sparks fly!

I build systems and have recently started buying them. I bought three recently and one was DOA. already dead when it arrived. This time I bought two and just opened up the first one and installed it and sparks came out when it was plugged in! In more than twenty years of working in this direction I have never seen a newcomer who has done this! Clear junk, so I won't buy it again. Millennial advice is here. Many moons ago we had great customer service and great products. because you were all…

Defective 3 weeks after installation. The RMA process is terrible.

The power supply is reasonably well made, but obviously a simple, economical design. Not pretty. Worked well for 3 weeks. In the fourth week, after 30-45 minutes of work, he lost strength. At the end of the fourth week, it lost power after about 10 minutes. Once the power goes out, I have to wait about an hour for it to turn back on. The RMA process requires me to open an account (and provide extensive personal information) on the EVGA website. After opening a personal account, I need to…

Good buy but beware of 75% efficiency [Updated]

Pros: This is a good PSU for the price. I bought one for 550w and it worked fine on my desktop before I installed my graphics card. Quiet fans and cool black cable cover. Cons: ATTENTION, the PSU is only around 75% efficient, it wasn't listed on the website and I couldn't even find the efficiency on the EVGA official website. This is only visible from the outside of the PSU case. I put in my XFX R9 280x graphics card and my desktop became unstable and just shut down when I was playing. This is…
