A 3 " to 2.5 " joint will be fusion welded at best.

Not strong enough for an exhaust system with all its natural vibrations. Rode it a few hundred miles and everything snapped into place around the weld. A simple repair that can be done right, but a joint, for example, needs more meat in the weld to hold it together. If you want to get this and stainless steel is ok, reinforce the connection yourself.

Pros
  • The best in its niche
Cons
  • Poorly thought out

Stainless Steel Exhaust Adapter

I bought this 2 1/2" ID to 2" ID to fit a 2 1/2" outlet catalytic converter. Subsequently the larger end became much larger than the 2 1/2 "It won't work. Others suggested the correct sizes and may have sent me the wrong adapter but I went the other way. The flange on the existing spool was rusted so instead of replacing it with a new one I did , bought a split flange and repaired the original.

You sent me the wrong item twice! There will be no third time.

Someone needs quality control. You sent me the wrong item twice! I ordered 2.5" ID by 3" ID and when I received it the box said it was. But the actual product I kept shipping was 2.5 inch OD to 3 inch ID. So frustrated I disassembled my exhaust twice only to find out the part didn't fit! I've complained to Revane, but I'm sure he won't be heard. The part itself is not expensive but my time is wasted!

Not suitable for suction, hardly passable for blowing out.

I should have paid more attention before ordering. I was looking for a gearbox for a custom install of an intake pipe for a turbo mod on a 2.0 Jetta MKIV. I was completely disappointed by this. I expected a smooth transition, not a sharp drop. The turbulence caused by such a drastic reduction would be problematic. Turns out I changed my settings so I no longer need the adapter so I cut off the 3" piece and just used that which is the only reason I didn't return it.

Pros
  • One year trial period
Cons
  • Ease of maintainability

Light two-piece part, wrong welding technique.

This is not a piece. These are two parts welded together. This is TIG welding with heat that does not penetrate. It appears that a filler rod was not used in the welding process either. The wall thickness is thinner than I would like, I should have checked that before ordering. You can see the seam of the two pieces if you look at it. from inside. This element will crack and fall apart if you don't control the vibration. This item doesn't suit my needs, but if you want to attach an exhaust tip…
