I got this screen cover for my 40 gallon turtle tank! And at first I was worried that it would fit my tank well, but in fact it fit perfectly and went like a glove! It's great if you don't have a lid for your fish tank because it makes your fish tank look more complete. This case is perfect. I bought this to sit on my bearded dragon's enclosure and it works like a charm. The frame is strong and the mesh is elastic to withstand both the heat and weight of my domes. It won't exactly fit a 40 gallon grower so I can't recommend it for snakes as they have a penchant for the art of escaping. This Exo Terra trellis is perfect for my reptile tank. I had no problems with that at all. There is a small issue that the top of the screen cover is not heat resistant and starts to melt easily, but to be honest it's not that big of an issue. For the price I think it will last a long time and if something happens it can be replaced. If anyone needs a strainer for their reptiles I would highly recommend this one for the price and quality.
