    Jewel stash

I have a slatted tank and the fish love this piece, it gives them a sense of security. and when they swim around it's nice to see them swim through the holes, very relaxing for me.

    very pretty, sharp edges

is a thicker shape so should hold up better than some others. The color is very bright, it's more beautiful than I thought. The holes are big enough to lure most of my fish into hiding. The downside is that it's full of sharp edges. You have to slide your fingers in to find them, be careful as you could cut yourself. I can only imagine what will happen to my fish. I will try to polish them later as others have done. When I opened it I couldn't detect any odor.

Great vase for my betta to play with!

I put this vase in my fluval spec v. Looks beautiful! I placed the plant on top and my rooster Tenchi loves to perch on top of the leaves. He likes to float in a vase and sometimes sit in it. I've had it for 3 months now and so far have had no issues with it chipping, peeling off, leeches in the water or anything. There were sharp edges on the inside so I smoothed them out and everything is fine. It's a bit heavy at the top, so I weighted it down with gravel and rocks at the bottom to keep it…

    Bought for my snake

I was concerned it might have sharp edges that are not safe for my snake. I have read all the reviews from people who bought this as snakeskin and they were all positive, one person even left a review saying it has no sharp edges. Unfortunately, the edges in life are as sharp as they seem. The inside also has sharp edges from the mold used to make it. I sanded it for quite a while until it was smooth, which can take away the outside paint and detail, but most of my sanding was on the inside, so

    Looks great in my tank

Got this for a 10 gallon tank with a tap. It looks great in an aquarium, it's quite large and has lots of nice holes. This is the hole at the back, front, top and spout of the vase (this is also the hole at the bottom that goes into the gravel). It's big and big enough for a rooster to fit inside. The betta swims through all the holes and the handle, often stopping and lying down on the spout opening. It is very good quality and thick material and looks authentic in an aquarium (not too bright…

Vase = lucky fish. at Fish & Aquatic Pets

I haven't had any of the problems others have described. It must be a production problem. My vase is perfect for my 15 gallon tank and 12 mixed fish. They all find exploring the vase interesting (fish can get bored too!). Small fish can rest in it without worry. Even large goldfish, very soft and cuddly, can take a nap in the vase without getting stuck. I have 4 minnows in my population that will wear down various species of goldfish so the vase is a must have addition to the aquarium. I also…

Beautiful design perfect for small aquariums

I'm looking forward to replacing my worn out old fish tank with a nice 'antique' style upgrade. After measuring my fish tank and old decoration I decided to go for it - I'm so glad I did! I have a 5 gallon backlit aqueon setup and this vase fits the floor perfectly. He's big enough to look balanced and the holes are just the right size for him to climb in and swim through! I didn't have it there for 5 minutes before the little guy swept through the holes with great enthusiasm. I've read a few…
