ganon. club/index.php/2019/04/04/getting-10gbps-on-a-skull-canyon-nuc-without-thunderbolt-3-ngff-to-pcie-x4-riser/ [note the space between ganon. and club]^ The post above explains it much better than this review, but this x4 riser card allowed me to use one of the slots in the Skull Canyon NUC and a 10Gb Mellanox ConnectX-3 10Gb card Add. Speed. I installed 3 of these NUCs in a VMware ESXI cluster and boy. if she's screaming for that iSCSI storage now. *whistle impressed - you know him* Buy…

NOT open in USB to VGA adapter

The adapter is NOT open despite the description explicitly saying otherwise (or at least one of which wasn't supplied to me). This was quite a problem for me as I had to connect two x4 cards and two x16 cards. I damaged 2 adapters when I sanded the back end of the connector. Luckily I ordered some spare adapters just in case, but still - this is blatant misinformation. The adapter overall is of pretty good quality and feels nice, but the open end is one of the main features, really needed to…

Product works as advertised so far

This item does exactly what it is advertised to do. I was able to add a USB 3.0 PCIE card to a mITX motherboard via an empty M.2 connector. I have yet to test its durability but so far it's working great for my use. The item comes in a plain brown box with two parts in a single zipped bag. I took off one star because the article is not 100% correct. to the photo. The PCIE slot does not have an open notch as shown, so it will only work with a PCIE x1 or PCIE x4 card unless you cut it yourself.

Pros
  • M.2 M NGFF Dongle Conversion to PCI-E X4 Interface. Note. Please make sure that the wire colors of the power cable match when connecting to the power extension to avoid leakage currents.
Cons
  • Small Parts

it keeps what it promises

that works. Use it on the motherboard to have another PCI slot to create a GPU. It works great with a connected rx580. The only problem I see is that the adapter for it is a molex. really weak basic Molex. it wouldn't even fit in the molex power supply connector, it would barely be enough to turn it on. if they changed it to a 6 pin PCIe cable. honestly that would be perfect. Just a shame they skimped on that part. Aside from the Molex part, it does what it's supposed to do. comes with a small…

Worked great to add an extra PCI-e card to my Ncase M1 SFF build!

Very inspirational! About a year and a half ago I built my own PC on Ncase M1 V5. i7 8700k overclocked to 5.0GHz, 32GB overclocked RAM, 1080ti SC2 from EVGA, Samsung 960 Pro 1TB m.2 NVME SSD and it worked great! vst synths in crazy resolution with tons of polyphony. All my music software with USB audio interface worked great on it. Second, it was used as a gaming monster, which was a lot of fun thanks to its fast CPU and insane 1080ti GPU. I liked it. My main computer at the music studio was a…
