I like it. It's not a Fluke, but with a deal I got through Revain it was about $52 including sales tax. Shipping was free without Prime and it was also discounted. He does everything I need. The fuse is located between two circuit boards. So, when the fuse blows, the dismantling process occurs. it's a chinese thing.

I have always used Extech and only bought this unit after I lost my unit which I had for many years. This one works, but there seems to be a bad selector switch. If you turn it on or change one setting to another, it will turn off. Sometimes it doesn't even turn on. Very disappointed. I tried to contact Extech but never got a response. I guess I'll have to buy a Fluke.

The entire EX series has serious quality control issues. I had a very large (pea sized) solder blob floating around inside the case. This could cause SERIOUS security problems. Buy a nonexistent series (Brymen's) or save money and wait for them to replace those junkers with a new line of hopefully not crappy gauges.

I ordered this multimeter in 2013, I had some batteries but this little meter still works. I have used it for electrics, electronics and cars with a case and a set of connectors. It's amazing, fairly accurate for a portable DMM, and very durable. I love its features and it just goes on and on. The backlight is good too. What's not to love? This is an amazing product!

Bought to test my grounding/grounding gear and show friends the difference between not being grounded and being grounded. That works great! I briefly thought it was broken when the OL icon appeared, but after reading the instructions I realized I was just overloading it with the settings I had. Changed to a higher value and all is well. It has the lowest setting you need to test grounding devices, millivolts.

The meter worked as expected for 9 months then stopped turning on when the selector was rotated. From time to time the screen flickered briefly and then went black again. I contacted the manufacturer's product support. I presented proof of purchase and an RMA form and a new multimeter (updated model) was mailed to me and arrived within a few days. Although the original device failed, I give the whole experience 4.5 stars for the manufacturer behind their product at the time.

I received a defective model first. After contacting Extech customer service, they immediately sent me a new one. This one even sounds different when I turn it on, so I guess I just have a bad block. Kudos to Extech Customer Service for a quick and easy fix! First review: It's only been up for a few days and it takes a few tries to turn it on. If the multimeter works fine, but you want the multimeter to "just work" and not shake it a lot to turn it on. Not suitable for longevity.

Extech: Rotating the dial doesn't always work. I had to twist it back and forth (several times) to turn it on. The continuity test buzzer sometimes doesn't work when I touch wires, so I question its validity (and other settings) during testing. Revain/UPS: Would help if the return process was simpler. I don't have a printer right now (the ones I've had have always had the ink dry out or the nozzles clogged). I urgently need a multimeter. I believe your return policy should allow customers to…
