No noticeable loss in sound quality. This is not a monster cable made from a very thin cable. just be careful. Justified for the price.

I needed an extension cable to extend my headphones. It gets the job done without sacrificing sound quality or volume. Big! However, be careful when using this with a microphone. According to other reviews, this seems to cause "crosstalk" (other people you're talking to can hear their own echo). As such, I recommend only using this cable if you don't plan on using a microphone with it.

Tested recording with cable, only turning on the light in the room produced a loud electrical hum. Tried other cables, no problem. Walked around the house and the buzz was present whenever I passed a device that was currently on and working. The hum was strong enough that any sound from the light passage was unusable. Will ask for a refund.

This cable works as expected but this extension is VERY THIN. It's about as thin as the cord on the headphones that came with my iPhones. I was hoping to use this between my docked laptop and the headset I wear at my desk. I'm afraid if I move too much and this cable gets caught on something it won't be able to withstand too many pulls without breaking. I would have liked a stronger cable.

I have cut and stripped the cable and examined the conductors. Inside the outer jacket there are four strands in the colors red, green, blue and transparent (copper) as well as a strain relief cable. The cable simply contains no shielding. The seller claims it is "Double Screen Design". This usually means a braided copper screen surrounded by a foil screen.
