Large capacity but slow

These drives are slow, for me they average 10MB/s, which means translating 100GB over 3 hours would last. However, the capacity is very good for the price. The drive is compact, but it's not an SSD, it's a spinning HDD (probably 1.8"?) like the original iPods and Zunes, if you remember them :-)

Run for the hills! suitable for data storage

This disk is complete garbage. If you just want to host small files individually, this might work for you. However, forget about more intensive things like reformatting a hard drive or bulk copying files. In winter, this disc crawls more slowly than a snail. So pick another option, dammit, Western Digital sells a 2TB USB 3.0 drive for about $20 more.

Slow, too slow for game consoles

The disc works, is well formatted, even kinda nice. But it's so slow that my Ps4 doesn't think it's a USB 3.x device and won't let me use it. I have it installed on my laptop now and will probably use it to offload old audio/video projects for archival purposes.
