It took a little more effort but this is a great product.

At first they seemed too small to attach to the 1" and 1/4" handrails on my Bennington pontoon boat. However, I preheated them for 40 seconds and slid them onto 1 and 1/4" wood panels. The next day they pressed right onto the boat rails with just the right clamp to hold them in place to close my boat's fenders to back up.

I have 1.25 inch rails on my pontoon boat.

I have 1.25 inch rails on my pontoon boat and they won't go through the rails at all no matter how hard I try. They're too hard to bend, and if you have to heat them to make them work, why buy them? I will ask for a refund. It costs $6 to return, to get your money back, forget it, I'll throw it away, don't waste your time if you have 1.25 square rails!

2 broken in less than a year

My neighbor advised us to get something similar for our new boat. The first clip broke in the first month but I thought we were being too rough with it and I had 1 extra of what I needed. We just got our boat back from storage and the other one broke. They don't really slide easily on our boat and I suspect they just broke with a little extra pressure to get them off. I wouldn't buy them again even though they're cheap. I should have bought a more durable product for a little more money. Not…

3 of 4 broke on first use

I lost 3 fenders today as 3 of 4 of these clips broke today while tied to others (pontoon boats). The parts I left on my boat show that they broke not in one place but in two. I've owned for about a month. Here's my honest guess: you'll hold your wing just fine until you really want that wing to collide with something. They clearly cannot withstand the stresses of a real usage situation. Guess what I do with the fourth. throw it in the trash I went to Amazon to buy 3 new grand pianos that I…

However, not perfect.

I have a 2017 Lowe pontoon boat and it won't fit my rails. They were a bit narrow being plastic so I brought a heat gun. I just warmed them up to stretch them out a bit and then they fit fine. Once they were warmed up, I could put them on the rails. After cooling, after about 2 minutes, they fit perfectly and fit my boat perfectly. So far they do exactly what they were designed for and I've had no problems. I like them, my wife likes them. No more tying bumpers, simply attach to desired side. I

Great 'til they break, practice my knots 'til I find a better substitute.

I was delighted to get them for our new pontoon. They make it very easy to place (pre-tied and preset) fenders in the perfect spot for your pontoon in seconds and it's amazing! But after a few weeks I noticed that one of our expensive grand pianos was gone. I didn't know what happened so I figured I forgot to raise the wing while driving and lost it. But then a few days later, while mooring at a friend's house, I noticed that one of our wings was floating in the water. I thought I might have…
