The brushes are hard but still soft on my skin and have some flexibility but resistance to "pull" a fine line. This brush set is so beautiful. Brush for excellent eyeliner techniques at height. They are also great for small pops of color for eye shadows for highlights or a bit of WOW and brows. They absorb the color and are easy to apply. The bristles are also soft. What a great set of makeup brushes. I wasn't happy with the eyeliner brushes I got in regular makeup brush sets, so this is a very welcome addition to my brush collection.

Very thin, stiff brushes that bend too much when applying makeup are hard to find. These did their job, washed well with soap and water. I recommend them.
