This item should be supplied with an adapter that will reduce the pipe connection to 1/2". It is not. Instead, I'm now sitting with a bath spout that doesn't fit and can't find a suitable adapter in any hardware store.

Whatever we do, it drips. It has been leaking since the initial installation and has continued to leak while troubleshooting. In the end I couldn't stand it, went to the store and bought it. Worked perfectly the first time. Don't waste your time or money.

I had to replace the bathtub spout at my parents house as the old one was corroded. It was an easy swap and install with no hassles. Before installing, make sure to use Teflon tape on the pipe threads. It is not included and not expected, but you should use it to avoid leaks.

UPDATE: Now after 3 months the outlet pipe is broken. Nothing hit it from the outside to break it so all I can say is that this is a SUPER low quality part. BUY CAREFULLY! After 2 months this thing is leaking the same as the one I replaced. Trust the other people who said it was a leak, they were right. I would like to listen to them.
