Best hand tool wand

I have used many other brands over the past 30 years and Eze Lap is the best and most durable. Co-workers bought other brands and then came and took my Eze Lap because they just didn't exist. Don't cut it. The most important thing to remember is that the sharpener should be cleaned vigorously with WD40 or equivalent from time to time as dirt and/or grime will clog the diamond stones and they will then act like the sharpener would be worn out. BUT THAT'S NOT THE CASE! I bet a lot of people got…

It's a tool, not a toy

If you're like me, when I saw this product you thought "Damn! That's a steep price!” So I bought one of the smaller diamond steels for $8 to $12. Don't waste your money on other cheaper items! This is a spitzer that drinks whiskey straight from the bottle! It costs more because it's worth it! Stitched bag with back closure, studded belt loop, strong snap closure, solid 1/16" thick brass tubing handle, heavy cut on handle and collar, 3 1/2" long diamond rivet: This item is made for the soldier.…

Let's get real - Whetstones

Over the years I've sharpened just about every knife, blade and metal hardness out there. I have used everything from the finest Arkansas and Indian stones to grinding wheels and 1 inch grinders with Emery belts. For the money and for the average user, this joystick is what you need. Yes it takes some training to sharpen thin cutting edges and yes if you clog it up with dirt and grease it won't work. I inherited one 15 years ago and thought about it for a moment. Yes, the quality of leather…

Could last forever. Repost after 30 years with results.

As always; which is very good. Solid brass, durable and easy to pocket or pack. It's strange that so many people spend so much time reviewing, testing, and developing knives, yet so few people think about what makes a knife useful: the ability to cut. If you buy this device, you don't have to think about it either. This is a sharpener that will give you many years of pleasure. My dad still uses the one I remember using when I was 8. It's 30 years old and I believe. The only caveat I have is for

A tool that sharpens well and lasts a lifetime!

The sharpener is very durable and easy to transport in the field. Simply unscrew the grinding diamond, pull it out of the handle, rotate it and put it back on the handle! This is a medium grit diamond so it is more aggressive than a plain steel whetstone and will leave fine scratches on the edge rather than polishing the edge! A great tool for working in the field or at home! I have one of these 30 years ago and loved it so much I recently bought a second one as my first one was put away while…
