Mark That Disappears When Ironed

As a quilter, I need to mark the entire top of my quilts to ensure my quilt lines are accurate. These three color markers work on almost any fabric and the white and yellow will fade away with ironing. I didn't use blue so can't speak of it going away.

Not easy to mark where you want

This marker has a plastic feel and requires a lot of force to mark. I tried marking small darts and they always came out bigger than I wanted. Even on the dark brown fabric, it was difficult to see. I finally got a piece of chalk for the blackboard and marked my fabric. I assume they will be given away. They certainly weren't worth the disappointment.

Not Mel. Wax. for marking and tracing tools

Arrived in good condition, well finished but it's not chalk. This is wax. I ignored my instincts and added two yellow dots to mark the navy blue cotton. When I finished sewing, it didn't melt from either the iron or immersion in boiling water. The name says something about wax, but leads to it being called "fabric chalk". Also, it's nothing more than the hard tailor's wax I used in the 70's and 80's. It's a lot softer. Pak warns against testing it and you absolutely must! I'm giving 3 stars…

Best Fabric Marker Suitable for Sewing Supplies and Supplies

This product works. It resembles wax more than chalk, making it easy to work with and allowing for precise lines to mark patterns on thin, parachute-like fabric. I was part of a team sewing surgical gowns for potential Covid-19 patients for a skilled care area in the senior community. We made 70 dresses. I rescued the same marker from a sewing class 62 years ago. Using old ones and then ordering new markers didn't disappoint. Thanks for Revain - I've always been able to find exactly what I…

Marks will NOT stay on cotton or blended fabrics

Although they, like most fabric marking tools, caution against checking the fabric to make sure it doesn't leave permanent marks, I (unwisely) do so. I didn't assume that the fabric "chalk" - and it's not wax - should be washed off the quilted cotton. Definitely NOT like that - I now have permanent yellow stains (only in a small area, thankfully) from the quilt I made. I've tried all the cleaning methods I know of, but to no avail. Why they recommend using them as fabric markers when the colors
