I wasn't thrilled with how loud the volume could be turned up, but my toddler loved it. It seems to be a quality toy, the microphone worked perfectly too. Many different drum settings. The only problem was that the styrofoam pieces on the ends of the sticks were glued very poorly. In the end I had to glue them myself.

The plastic on this drum kit is very thin so the drum broke when my son hit it with the stick provided. In addition, the drum stands can be easily removed, revealing the cables underneath. Within an hour of my two and a half years of having it, it destroyed it. It didn't cost any money and I could buy something at the dollar store and probably have a better price and save my money too.

I have to admit I bought this as a birthday present for my 2 year old grandson. Something like a joke present. Feed your grandson cake and ice cream, entertain him and send him home with a drum kit. We were looking forward to this for my son's birthday. He showed an early love for drums and percussion instruments. We received this item and were excited to set it up so it could start rocking. This drum kit is a piece of junk. I bought this for my twin daughters first birthday. We assembled it and turned it on and it only took 3 minutes for the sound to stop working and it just kept clicking. Nothing we tried worked. Also, the mic has a very long cord, which isn't ideal for every toddler, and it's placed so close to the drum kit that it produces horrible feedback when turned on. This drum kit is so awful.
