Description of 📀 FalconMedia SmartGuard Glossy White Inkjet CD-R - 52x, 700mb/80 Minute, Printable Hub - Water Resistant - 50 Pack

Compare the Falcon Smart Guard CD-R to the CMC Pro/Taiyo Watershield surface and you save money on the disc price and the cost of ink. The high quality of the Falcon inkjet surface allows you to reduce the ink saturation settings on your inkjet printer, so you can get excellent contrast at a more economical setting. You’ll save up to 25% on your print costs when using a majority of professional inkjet systems. Falcon Smart Guard offers an excellent, water-resistant, white inkjet surface, with a high gloss finish for achieving a bright photo quality print. Smart Guard features a short drying-time and excellent ink absorption, so you’ll have no issues using them on automated printers from Primera, Epson, Image and other autoloader manufacturers. The Falcon superior white inkjet surface delivers high color contrasts, deep dark colors and clear crisp text. Smart Guard has a maximum inkjet layer coating, so you can use the full surface of your disc. Compared to Watershield, Falcon Smart Guard offers improved resolution, color brightness and black print contrast. Smart Guard is equal to Watershield in water resistance, drying time and gloss finish. Falcon Smart Guard CD-R is also optimized on the data recording side of the disc. FalconMedia Blank CD-Rs are professional grade media that offer 700MB recording capacity and have write speeds of 52X. Falcon CD-Rs use a licensed TDK media code for nearly universal compatibility. They are manufactured using premium Japanese materials and technology. FalconMedia Pro blank CD media achieve lower error rates and ensure smooth operations with very few rejects.

The BEST printable CD!

I prefer to make my own CD compilations. Sometimes I pass them on to my friends too. After working this way for decades, I can tell everyone that these FALCONMEDIA CDs are absolutely the best in terms of final print and (more importantly!) the sound quality of the recording! I've tried at least half a dozen 50s spindles, but the Zero couldn't complete the write. The people who receive my CDs are amazed at their "bought" quality! If ever there comes a day when I can't find her, it will be very…

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

They worked very well. I didn't have a single breakdown when I was making music; they all printed perfectly on my inkjet printer; and they all play great when used in a [Bose] CD player where the CD is pulled into the player [vs where you put the CD in manually] and they all eject perfectly. I used to record on JVC White Hub Watershield Inkjet CDs which worked great but I guess they have been replaced by CMC Pro TY technology and every CD from the last batch I ordered didn't load properly into…

If you like direct-to-disc printing, you'll be amazed at the image quality of these glossy CD-R SmartGuards! Of course, in many cases a standard matte finish is fine, but if a glossy, detailed, bright (and water-resistant) label is right for your project, give it a try! Surface) installed on "CD/DVD Premium Surface" and the results are excellent. As for the media themselves, they scan as "TDK Corporation 5-Phthalocyanine" and I've never had a marriage. These rims are more expensive than regular

Great Print Discs

I looked at half a dozen different brands of direct print CDs and found that most brands ranged from pathetic to barely acceptable. Either the labels weren't clear, or the discs themselves were riddled with errors and didn't record at all (one brand didn't record 43 discs out of 50!). So I was pleasantly surprised by these FalconMedia discs. Finally, there are print-ready CDs that deliver professional results and flawless recording of data and audio. I've recorded over 100 of these discs with…

Beautiful print quality, clean, reliable burns. Winner.

Proud new owner of a Canon Pixma Pro-100, ready to print CDs. I bought a stack of Verbatim CDs (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0001LS35W/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1) and, well, the media layer was fine. The printing area was just sufficient. The consistency was poor, the balance between dark gray and black was not as good as I had hoped for the printer. It wasn't the quality I just turned down money to upgrade for. these and tried them out. Oh yes, there is a nice subtle…

Great, but heed my warnings

They don't look like regular CD-Rs (in a good way)! The glossy white waterproof top gives a very nice professional look. The underside is silver (rather than blue or green like most others) and completes the professional look. They also appear to be thicker and therefore don't bend as much compared to the average CD-R. I haven't had a bad recording of about 20 discs yet. I highly recommend letting them dry for at least a few minutes after printing. A couple of times they seemed to be dry only…
