I was nervous about which size to choose based on other reviews but I made a good choice. My 12 year old daughter is small for her size but due to the hip area I usually take a size 14. But I went for a size 12 and it turned out to be perfect for her. It was a little loose but perfect for her. So I would say reduce the size. The dress is absolutely beautiful and well made.

This dress came with a large brown stain. I am extremely disappointed. Now of course I have to send it back. Lace would be nice, it stretches a lot. Also, it should only be dry cleaned. Such a disappointment.

I recommend ordering a size down, our daughter is 7 and very slim, I ordered 6 and it was still a little loose on her. In addition, this is a beautiful dress at a great price. Beautiful dress my daughter loved. It's dry-clean only, so it was only afterwards that we discovered that the sash was attached to the front with hot glue, which didn't hold up well to dry cleaning. Otherwise a beautiful, well-tailored dress. My daughter is leggy but petite so the one we chose was perfect everywhere and with the low heels the length was too long but not enough to trip over.

My daughter's biggest Christmas wish is a floor length white 'wedding dress'. I hesitated because two flower girl dresses she's had in the past were "fancy" but matched the quality of the costume, and she complained that she was itchy in them. Then I tried that. So glad I did. The dress is fully lined with soft cotton. The laces are soft and pretty. The whole dress is soft, light and comfortable. She really can wear it all the time.
