I really wanted this cutter to replace my homemade cutter that kept giving me uneven cutting lines. FantasyDay works a little better, but my cuts are still often a bit one-sided. The blade at the bottom is good for slick shaving soap, but if it protrudes too far into the cutter it will snag your soap loaf and make it impossible to push it forward for the next cut. I really like the bread pan that came with the kit and I have 5 other similar bread pans.

This is a really cool idea, but the soap mold itself is a bit off the mold, and the Wooden box is too big for the shape, so the soap is disproportionate, causing it to be cut very obliquely. The included cutter is so blunt that the soap spills on the cut edges. I haven't tried nylon thread yet because I'm too nervous about what it will do to my final product. It's really cool, it just needs a bit of tweaking, so I'm giving it 3 stars.

This is well packaged and wrapped tightly in plastic to keep everything together. While excitedly unpacking, I cut my finger pretty badly on the built-in blade. If you have kids, this isn't a device to throw around. The blade has no protective cover. This will require some assembly to connect the plastic wire to the screws as shown.
