We bought these water slippers to take to Hawaii for use on hot beaches and where the ground underwater was slippery or uneven. My son loves these shoes! He uses them as everyday shoes, not just for the pool or the water. After around 6 months of wear they showed some aging which is to be expected. As someone who usually buys name brand swim shoes (e.g. Speedo) I was hesitant to buy shoes from a brand I had never heard of. I was convinced by the good reviews and the lower price, so I went for it. I'm glad I did. I bought my two pairs of kids in their normal size and they both fit perfectly.
