This drive will survive. a Case

I bought this to use with my laptop. It cost a little more than many comparable drives, but I've dropped it a few times (not on purpose) and it survived without a problem. Hooray! I would love to see a video of someone dropping this villain over a meter off the ground. Maybe a building or something, like what David Letterman did with watermelons.

That gray bumper on the outside was literally made for a different car and doesn't quite match this one.

Discs are good, don't believe the haters. However, the rubber bumper really makes it cheaper. Why? Because it is not made for this drive! These are leftovers from LaCie Ruggeds! Because it's shaped completely differently, the bumper actually covers the USB port on this drive, making it literally unusable (unless you cut a wider hole in the bumper with scissors). And even then you have to awkwardly push the rubber band to the side to glue it in. Honestly, this drivetrain is better without aโ€ฆ

This is a good hard drive

Fantom makes a reliable device. The one I ordered had a problem with the motherboard, so I contacted the manufacturer. They fixed the problem right away and replaced it with no fuss. I will definitely buy again
