Farberware Stamped 15-Piece High-Carbon Stainless Steel Knife Block Set with Steak Knives in Black Review

Bought this set 3 years ago with no problems. Just got this set again, the knives are much lighter and weaker. Steak knives aren't even serrated anymore. They even have a clause that they cannot be machine washed.

I love these knives! The only thing I want to say to anyone who wants to buy them. It says hand wash and dry. Do not let it air dry. Dry them off immediately afterwards and then put them away. I know it sounds silly, but if you don't, they will rust. With good care they will last a long time! My last set was almost 7 years old and I just replaced them with these.

The first thing I have to say is never buy this 15 piece knife block set with Farberware stamps. made of stainless steel. They rust very quickly. It took me so long to write this review because I am a sick person and when the person I finally gave them to also showed me and said how rusty they are. i was so confused Please do not buy them as you will be very disappointed.

Knives were made of inferior steel. The knives rusted shortly after I used them. I have learned that they do not withstand prolonged contact with water. Yesterday one of the handles of the scissors broke off, I just threw them away. I've had knives for about 6 or 8 weeks. The knives were sharp when I first used them but dulled very quickly. They looked good but the quality was poor. I will never buy a cheap knife set again.

Well, it's true, you can't put them in the sink with water to soak the dishes. The handles are actually full of water. I have never experienced anything like this and I hope I will never experience it again. I will listen to feedback in the future. This makes me even more disappointed with the Farberware brand in general! The knife holder has some kind of coating that does not invade the space where the knives are stored. Do not buy this set! I don't know if it's fake or just bad quality. I bought this set for a friend for Christmas and I'm glad I bought it to replace my old set. Knives do their main job: cutting. Nothing in their performance impressed or disappointed me. BUT. It may say somewhere that these knives cannot be washed in the dishwasher, or other relevant details. but I can't find it because I've learned the hard way that if the knife handle is allowed to sink in any way, it will fill with water and then drain very slowly when removed.
