These fasteners are great for joining fabrics. I took the pieces out of the box and laid them in front of me, looked at them for a moment, pierced the fabric and got to work. No problem. When you open the box and see all the details, you think I can't figure it out. Grab a cup of coffee or your favorite drink and relax. Put the pieces in the right order and you'll be fine

I didn't see any perforation. I messed up a latch and it took a drill to try and drill out the pin. It's strong metal! Once installed, it was difficult to snap into place due to the very tight fit. I flipped it sideways to snap it into place. I put it on a cotton jacket. If you try to detach it by pulling on the material, you will tear the material. You have to grab the latch to release it. You can unbutton the material if it's thick denim or thin leather.

If you need to fit fasteners, simply take your project to your local auto/upholstery shop and pay for it, you're much better off. This product is as inferior as it gets and almost impossible to install properly with the supplied die and tuning tool. In no case will these last very long. One thing I finally learned is that unless it's a well-known brand, you're getting pure junk from Revain. At least I understood what the message says, I usually get something similar but not what the message…
