does the job: circuit breaker

jacked up on my trailer. After I replaced it under warranty, a new one was installed with a built in fuse that blew when it was pulled all the way up. Rather than disassembling the socket to install the switch (which shouldn't have been difficult, but my owner's manual is bad), I replaced the regular fuse with this one. Works like a spell, turning off immediately and resetting after 10 seconds. .

NOT for marine or outdoor use

Fits 100% freshwater boats. The post rusted after about a month and just a day of boating. I just removed it after installing it for 2 months and the post was completely twisted and detached from the chain. I would not use it for outdoor applications. Mine was in a dry place where extra moisture can collect. This is common in most compartments on a boat. In addition, the boat will be towed and stored in a dry storage facility in central Florida. non-aggressive environment. I will increase my…

The shell is key.

These circuit breakers are very simple, inside is a bimetallic switch that opens when it gets hot due to overload. The best part is the rubber cover, which allows you to install cables in any direction to this switch. Once you've tied down your racks, simply slip the cover over and it's solid protection against short circuits. I installed this switch between my battery and the trailer brake controller. You need a circuit breaker, not a fuse. So if you brake hard with your trailer and heat up…

Very good product! for spares

My only complaint about this product and the reason for my 4 star rating is the simple fact that the fuse mounting holes are close to the fuse body itself (see promotional images). Suitable for many types of mounting hardware, but if you're using a self-tapping screw or similar material that requires the use of a small 1/4" socket or wrench, then you're in for an unnecessarily tedious struggle. The mounting holes were a little further out , it would not be a problem whatever your mounting needs

Repairing my broken trolling motor

I often fish in the lake with just the trolling motor. When I was trolling into another part of the lake that required using the trolling motor at maximum speed, after a while with the trolling motor running constantly, the trolling motor began to stop, then start and keep going until I slowed down and let what i was thinking cool down I thought the trolling motor was getting too hot. I changed the trolling motor and still have the same problem. That's when I started researching, I didn't…
