Great aggressive/efficient razor!

Great aggressive razor for men with a very coarse beard. One of the few mass-produced razors to date with an all-brass construction. Will last a lifetime. This razor gives you a perfect shave in just two passes, while softer razors require three passes. Requires a VERY light touch. There are blade alignment issues, so all you have to do is test the blade before bringing it to your face.

Pros
  • I hold my fists too blunt

Good shaver at a good price

I've read a lot about how well the Fatip shaves. All of this is true. I used Razorock Classic soap and a horsehair brush and got a great lather as Fatip is known to be very aggressive. The blade is clearly visible and sometimes you can feel the blade against your skin. However, using this razor with the new Lord Platinum blade gave me a BBS shave with no cuts, tears or irritation. This razor is very audible and lets you know if the angle is right. I also have an R41 and I think the Fatip is…

Nickel Plated Strippable after 3 shaves (photos included)

I bought this razor as a replacement for my RazoRock Jaws which requires too much fiddling to get the blade aligned and also as an alternative to Vintage Gillette. NEW OCs that become too expensive and often cause problems. Fatip Grande shaves great and is everything I hoped for! There is a bit of wiggle room in the blade but it aligns easily and I have no issues with this part. The reason I'm giving this 3 stars instead of 5 is because of the absolutely terrible coverage! If they were Merkur…

Comfortable and quick shave. however, certain conditions apply

I have one of the best shaving results with this shaver. I have very thick hair and sensitive skin. The most remarkable thing is that the shaving time has been drastically reduced. Before that, my normal razor was a Merkur long handle. I chose this razor as a replacement because I didn't like the pencil-like (albeit long) Merkur handle. However, we have also noticed that the shaving soap gets clogged in the closed Merkur comb. A notable difference from other razors is that the bezel is quite…

Pros
  • Robust construction
Cons
  • No automatic shaving

Very efficient razor

This is how aggressive a double blade razor should be. If you're new to a double-edged razor, you could cut yourself, but you probably cut yourself when you first started shaving with disposable blades. The difference is that it gives a much nicer shave and in my experience doesn't last longer than a cartridge/multi-blade razor. I recommend them to everyone. New and experienced shavers. Skip the overrated Edwin Jagger and do it. Unless you have really fine facial hair, you're going to need a…

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • For older razors

Definitely not for beginners

Have been using this shaver for over a week now. I absolutely love it. I switched from a Parker 26C that had a broken tip in the grip (can't complain, I've been using it for almost 4 years) and wanted a more aggressive razor. This is definitely a more aggressive razor. If you are new to wet shaving I would not recommend this razor. I have been using the wet shave for over 5 years. This is a really good razor if you have good technique. I see people posting about how to get cuts with it. Blades…

Pros
  • Good stuff
Cons
  • I have no problem with this it's just great

Close shave, but be careful!

Anyone who likes a razor that gives a lot of feedback will love this one. I also use Maggard 3A which is a little less aggressive. The Fatip has a slightly higher blade load than the 3A and it suits me. Shaving with a very light stroke will give you a great shave.

Pros
  • also understandable for old people
