Very similar to the Feather Popular, with a thicker grip and two levels of adjustment. "1" is moderate (slightly more aggressive than my "Popular"), "2" is aggressive, can be useful as a first pass when trying to get rid of a thick beard. The quality of this product is too poor. But I didn't give it 5 stars because I figured that despite the high quality plastic handle, they could probably weight it down a bit for a better hand feel. But man. The butterfly mechanism is the best I've seen. When rotated, the flaps not only open, but also raise the blade slightly as the flaps open. What magic! Note that setting 1 is very soft. Most people should choose setting 2.

Works, but...well, not really well. I have a Merkur 34C and have tried switching between them with the same blade. Now I prefer the Merkur Razor and the nib gets dusty unless I need it for something else. The butterfly mechanism is a bit more difficult to clean, the Merkur is easy to clean, while the Feather takes some time. If you're just starting out, get the Merkur 34C, see how it works, and then look at other products that might suit you better.

This razor is a pleasure to use. I've only used it on the more aggressive settings, but on these settings it shaves smoothly and efficiently without effort. This is a lightweight razor, but not too lightweight. The butterfly mechanism is great and the grip is pretty good. My only criticism is that it's expensive, but the excellent shave it produces and the joy of using it are slowly eroding my sense of sticker shock. I highly recommend this shaver.
