Not as scary as I think

This is a great shaver. This was my first experience with straight razors. The material is definitely high quality. I was a bit scared to try it based on the reviews everyone is saying how overly sharp the blades are and how easy it is to cut yourself. It's drastic and you should take your time, but I was pleasantly surprised. Just a small scratch on my first shave and haven't since. So take your time, but don't let the other reviews put you off. Incredibly comfortable shave

This is an amazingly comfortable razor. I bought softguard blades and my first shave with them was a full 3 pass shave. No cuts, no irritation. I usually only shave comfortably with the Merkur 34. If you have sensitive skin and want to try a straight razor, soft, protective blades are just what you need. The build quality is excellent, even with the plastic handle. If I had known he shaved so well I would have paid extra for a nice wooden handle. I might buy it later but I bet this one will…

Go boldly into a one-sided future! Feather SS is cool!

This is my first time shaving with a single edge razor and I happily have the Feather Professional Super blades (suuuuper shaaaarrrppp!) and this Feather Picked up SS razor with folding handle. I watched a few videos on how to shave with an edge, didn't want a traditional straight razor and thought it would be a great transition from years of shaving with a safety razor. It was great, although you really need to be patient and NOT in any hurry when learning how to use this razor - it's a beast…
