I bought this razor primarily because I have young children and I was concerned they would find my discarded blades. I've heard a lot of people just reuse old containers like Altoids mint tins etc. I do think this is a bit dangerous though as most kids will think this is exactly what it is and not that it has discarded razors inside. My blade kit does not include a disposal method. So I bought this little plastic box. Nice easy way to drop the blade and not worry about it anymore. I keep mine in a drawer and don't want anything to fall out when the box is moved. I tap the box lightly on the counter and after inserting the blade, shake it so the blade is under the slot. This is the ideal solution for disposing of used double-edged blades. The blades fit easily in the top slot and fall down. It's a lot smaller than it looks in the picture, but it's just the right size. It measures 2-1/2" wide, 1-3/4" deep and 2-1/8" tall. A question has been asked if it can be opened and emptied.
