Essential Accessories

I have a home studio and this monitor is the perfect size. You really get a lot for the money. Seems pretty well done. I also have their 5" model.

Pros
  • Touch Screen and 3D LUT
Cons
  • High Price

Work big or go home with good lighting and a studio

7 inch is definitely what you need. I also have a 5 inch monitor, but what's the difference 2 inches. It's much better to focus and see what you're recording. I like sharpness levels, zebra, anamorphic settings - everything works as it should. It's also a touchscreen and works great. But yeah, the pricing is a bit confusing when the brightness is just 500 nits compared to their "Lut7" model; I also have an ANDYCINE C7 at 2200 nits but the thing gets so hot you can touch the screen. The outer…

Pros
  • Perfect camera partner, clearer image

A good reference digital monitor… Built like a pro

Feelworld 7 4K On Camera Director Monitor is a good product that offers many features and options to work with and adapt to almost any digital camera and scenario. I tested it on my Canon Vixia with a small standard monitor and it was great to have a larger image size when shooting. The supplied HDMI cable may not work with all cameras depending on the configuration. I used a 7.4v 8500mah battery to power the monitor and it worked fine (they recommend F970 batteries). I like that this monitor…

Good field monitor but too weak for this price, only around 500 nits

Comes with a full size HDMI to mini HDMI cable In the case of my GH5S you will need another HDMI cable, which is what I used in the photos in this review. On the back of the monitor, the second battery compartment has been removed and replaced with an NP-F connector. That means you can mount and power devices like a wireless video transmitter or LED light. Be aware that you're draining the battery quickly when powering something like a wireless video transmitter, so I wouldn't use anything…

Pros
  • Perfect for director and camera assistant
Cons
  • Not sure

Bright, light and inexpensive

So there's a 400-pound gorilla in the field monitor world. Atmos - Ninja. And don't get me wrong, they have a great product that works exactly as it should and does it well. However, it costs almost as much as most rigs it's attached to. Having already spent $10,000 just on lenses for my Canon R5, I just can't spend more on something as simple as a field monitor. Besides, video is only a small part of my hobby. So I started at the bottom with a basic 5" display, more suited to a car than a…

Pros
  • Precise exposure and focus
Cons
  • So far, so good

Great field video monitor for DSLR cameras and more

I have an old FEELWORLD video monitor from the same brand and going from that old model to this F7 Pro monitor is like going from a very old phone to a 2021 one smart phone . The amount of options, menus and controls that I now have on this monitor is definitely a big upgrade for me. The monitor itself is 7 inches, it looks great, it can be wired or battery powered, it has HDMI in and out, it has many areas (RGB, Vector, etc.), it's touchscreen, very easy to use and with excellent image…

Good field monitor but too weak for this price, only about 500 nits

They include a full size HDMI to mini HDMI cable, so if you have a full size HDMI port on your Computers have, like I do my GH5S, you will need a different HDMI cable, which I did in the photos of this review. On the back of the monitor, the second battery compartment has been removed and replaced with an NP-F connector. That means you can mount and power devices like a wireless video transmitter or LED light. Be aware that you're draining the battery quickly when powering something like a…
