I bought this to use instead as I've had good luck with Fel-Pro products. This pad appears to be a bit thicker than the Gates pad. Installed and no problems so far. This time I did not use this product as the timing belt kit included the water pump seal. But from the past I've learned to buy a second one as they are easy to break/tear. This time I also applied Permatex Blue RTV silicone to hold the Felt-Pro water pump seal in place.
